Westfield Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited facility located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Westfield Hospital was conceived by a group of medical professionals that recognized a need to provide patients with an alternative to the larger regional teaching hospitals. Patients who prefer a smaller community-based hospital will appreciate the efficient service in an Emergency Department where patients are seen by the ER doctor within minutes of their arrival. Patients can park close to the front entrance and will not have to navigate through a maze of office buildings.
Westfield Hospital opened its state-of-the-art facility in June, 2007. Westfield is a private acute care general hospital where the atmosphere allows for personalized, compassionate care by our staff of experienced nurses and Board Certified physicians.
Westfield Hospital offers 24 hour Emergency Department care, three operating rooms, twenty-two inpatient beds, a three bed Intensive Care Unit, a short-procedure unit, a commercial kitchen and a full complement of ancillary and diagnostic modalities.
Westfield provides a conveniently located, well-equipped and professional facility with pleasant, hotel-like accommodations, easy access, and ample parking. Westfield Hospital is located on the campus of existing medical facilities, Tilghman Medical Center, Comprehensive Pain Center and Westfield Surgery Center.
Patients arriving for diagnostic procedures are directed to the Imaging Suite located on the first floor. State-of-the-art equipment include a CT Scan, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Laboratory facilities, including a Blood Bank, are equipped to accommodate 24/7 testing needs. The MRI unit is located on campus, at 4825 W. Tilghman Street.
All emergencies are addressed through the Emergency Department. Triage, isolation space, and exam rooms are available depending on the level of care required. One room is especially designed for pediatric patients.
On the second floor are 22 inpatient rooms. Visitors are always welcomed. The patient rooms on the Med-Surg floor have been designed to provide a comfortable environment more akin to a quality hotel room than a hospital with large ample windows allowing natural light.
A non-public use pharmacy is conveniently located on the second floor making dispensing of prescriptions efficient and reliable.
For patients requiring surgery without overnight stay, a same-day procedure suite (SPU) with four beds is located on the second floor.
The third floor houses the three bed Intensive Care Unit, administrative offices, general storage, multipurpose rooms, a commercial kitchen, and staff dining.
The third floor also houses two vending machines for after-hour snacks and beverages. Two multipurpose conference rooms are provided to accommodate staff and community seminars, training and meetings. Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month in the conference rooms.
